In January 2020, when Sam was 10 weeks pregnant, she miscarried. They conceived again just a few months later, but their previous experience made them hesitant to share the news until they were six months along, reports the Mirror.
"It's a strange one. Obviously it's the happiest moment of our lives so far," Sam confessed. "But what happened in January took a toll on both of us and we weren't able to speak about it properly.
"This second pregnancy I've stopped myself getting too excited, which is quite sad. But it made it easier to keep quiet because in the back of your head, you think, 'What if? '"
The pair decided to share their story to raise awareness about miscarriage and support others going through similar experiences.
