If you’re someone who is asking if you’re too old to start playing hockey, and you can still stand and carry your equipment, the answer is no! No matter what age you begin at, no matter how old you might be, if you’ve got the drive and determination to put some effort into hockey, you can do it. The love of the game will carry you through, and the community is pretty great too.

There is no reason you to couldn’t become a reliable player on the pond or possibly on a house league team. 13yrs old is not too old, you are never to old to try!

Unfortunately, getting into ice hockey at this age is quite difficult. You’re too old to join most hockey development clubs, but you’re not old enough to play rec hockey yet. This is exactly the position I was in, but don’t lose hope! Contact them, explain your passion for the game and see if they’ll let you train with them! Stick & puck sessions are basically just time allocated for hockey players to practice skills.

It's never too late to begin! Hockey is a late developing sport that you can begin at any age.
