Typically, newly promoted teams from League Two to League One finish between 10th and 18th in their first season. Historically, teams moving up a league see a PPG drop of about 20% due to higher competition. Wrexham’s adjusted PPG in League One: [ \text{Adjusted PPG} = 2.00 \times 0.80 = 1.60 ]. Teams with a PPG of around 1.60 in League One typically finish between 7th and 12th. Given the adjusted performance metrics and historical trends, Wrexham is more realistically expected to finish in the mid-table range in League One, around 7th to 12th place. This range accounts for the stronger competition they will face compared to League Two and aligns with typical outcomes for teams newly promoted to League One.

At +400 with BetMGM, they're good value to take the League Two title this season especially as they've recently found better form which they'll look to capitalise on. If you don't want to back Wrexham to win the League Two title this season, you can instead pick them for promotion at -120 with BetMGM. Three sides go up automatically whilst the teams between 4th and 7th at the end of the campaign battle it out in the playoffs with the eventual winners also being promoted to League One.

They were expected to go up this year after more investment into the playing squad. And they're now on course to do just that and are very short odds to get over the line after a sensational tussle for supremacy with Notts County. In the immediacy, the Red Dragons are a short price to follow up their promotion to League Two with an immediate rise to League One. They're just 3/1 to make it back-to-back promotions next season. On the flip side, they are 50/1 to suffer relegation from League Two in their first season back in the football league since 2008.

It is very difficult to predict at the moment. There are teams all the way down to 14th who you think could be up there. Wrexham have the chance to move back into the automatic promotion places and close the gap on Wycombe to one point.

After picking up their third league victory in succession on Saturday against Exeter City, Wrexham’s probability of promotion has grown by over 10% into 73.3% and are now listed at 4/11 in our League One promotion market. Wrexham are currently top of the market after betting was suspended on Birmingham City.

Ladbrokes are going as far as to put the Reds 25/1 to be in the Premier League by the time the 2028/29 season comes around. They are also hotly-tipped to follow up their League Two promotion with another to League One come the end of the 2023/24 campaign at odds of 3/1. On the opposite spectrum, Wrexham are 50/1 with Ladbrokes to endure relegation back to the National League. Meanwhile, Bet365 are giving odds of 7/2 for Wrexham to be crowned 2023/24 League Two champions, 5/6 to make it back-to-back promotions and 6/4 to finish in the Top 3.

We're 8/1 for the title with Stockport at 20/1. Top 6 finish for us is an incredible 10/11 odds on. They obviously don't believe we're going for consolidation. So oddsmakers think we have a better chance of promotion next year (5/2) than we did to win the title this year (3/1).
