Pep Guardiola is the most successful manager with four titles followed by Carlos Bianchi and Carlo Ancelotti, claiming three titles each. Pep Guardiola became the second manager to secure a joint-record total of three world champion titles; he was also the first manager to win three Club World Cup titles. Carlo Ancelotti became the third and most recent manager to achieve a joint-record total of three successes in club world championships. Six managers also won the competitions twice: five achieved two consecutive titles, while Sir Alex Ferguson became the only manager to win both Intercontinental Cup and Club World Cup.

Sir Alex Ferguson is possibly the most famous and widely regarded as the best soccer coach of all time. This is a team that between 1992-2013 won the English Premier League 13 times, along with 18 pieces of various silverware (FA Cup, League Cup, and Community Shield). He achieved almost complete domestic dominance for two decades, the last time that happened was in the 1960s when Liverpool FC achieved something similar. Or you could say that Jose Mourinho is widely regarded as another of the greatest soccer managers of all time, winning a total of 27 trophies in his managerial career. Over that time, despite having competition from other great managers, Alex Ferguson, Pep Guardiola, and Arsene Wenger, he’s managed a 63.8% win rate. An astonishing feat in a heavily competitive era of soccer. On the other hand, Pep Guardiola has managed three of the best teams in the world at the relatively young age of 51. In 2011, after winning the La Liga title for the third year in a row and the Champions League for the second time in three years, he was awarded the Catalan Parliaments Gold Medal and named FIFA World Coach of the Year. Currently, he’s the coach of Manchester City. That being said, they can certainly afford to pay Pep €23 million a year, with the success he brings it’s a sure thing.

Alex Ferguson is the greatest manager ever. Ferguson’s best spell came at Man United, where he led them to 38 trophies across a 27-year spell. Mircea Lucescu has enjoyed success across Europe with the likes of Galatasaray, Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kiev. Pep Guardiola is just 52 years old but has already won an incredible 32 trophies. Guardiola may eventually eclipse his trophy haul but it’ll be a while until that happens.
