Most famously, Duke featured in the 1982 Challenge Cup Final replay victory against Widnes at Elland Road. Hull defeated the Chemics 18-9 in West Yorkshire having drawn 14-14 in the Wembley final. At the grand old age of 39, Duke lined up alongside Clive Sullivan as he did many times throughout his career, bringing the Challenge Cup trophy back to Hull for the first time in 68 years.
