Norway have been predicted to again top the medal table at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. The most successful Winter Olympic nation of all-time, Norway finished level on 14 golds with Germany in Pyeongchang four years ago but secured four more silvers. That meant the Nordic country topped the table for the first time since Salt Lake City 2002. In the all-time standings, Norway (368) lead the USA by 63 medals.

Norway is the outright leader when it comes to most gold medals won and total medals won across 23 Games. For gold medals won, Norway are the outright leader with 132. When taking silver and bronze into account as well, the USA find themselves even further behind – 68 in fact.

Winter Olympics Domination: Which Nation Leads? Norway – with a population size about five times smaller than that of Texas – is the most decorated Winter Olympic nation of all time. The small Scandinavian country has won 368 medals in total, including 132 gold, 125 silvers and 111 bronze, and the Norwegians are favourites to top the medal table once again in Beijing. The United States are second in the all-time rankings with 305 medals (105 gold, 110 silver, 90 bronze) followed by Germany – who have only competed in just over half as many Winter Games as Norway and the US – with 240 medals (92 gold, 88 silver, 60 bronze).
